What is OSHA?
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is a part of the US Department of Labor. It was established by the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. OSHA's mission is to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for workers in the United States by setting and enforcing standards and providing training, outreach, education, and assistance.
Under OSHA standards, employers are required to provide a workplace that is free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. This includes implementing safety measures, providing necessary training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations to protect workers' health and safety.
